Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Price: TBD
Facility: The site for the Oklahoma City Pull Clinic will be at the National Guard Armory, 2550 N. Air Depot Boulevard, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This site includes a beautiful 5-acre pecan grove we will be training in as well as an indoor area for some of our training in case of that unpredictable Oklahoma weather. The pecan trees provide a canopy of almost total shade, so even if it is a warm October weekend, we should be comfortable. Hotels and eateries are nearby.
Weather: The weather in Oklahoma is NEVER predictable. If you are familiar with Oklahoma weather, you know it changes at the drop of a hat. If this will be your first trip to the Sooner State, one of the most popular sayings we have is…. "If you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes and it will change." And yes, the winds really do "come sweeping down the plains" so please be prepared. High temperatures in October could be anywhere between 40 and 80.
Timing: We will start at 8:30. Please arrive early enough to set up your dog and check in, probably 45 minutes early.
Directions: - I-35 (north or south) About 1 to 1 ½ miles north of the I-35/I-40 interchange is exit #130 or N.E. 23rd Street. Head east on N.E. 23rd approximately 3 ¼ miles. You will come to the intersection of N.E. 23rd and Air Depot Blvd. There is a stoplight and a small school (Crutcho School) on the north side of the intersection. Turn left (north) and drive ¼ mile. This is a dead end street and the Armory will be on your right hand side. (If for some reason you are on 23rd heading east and reach Midwest Blvd., you have gone 1 mile too far east.)
