| WHAT IS BOOT CAMP? Boot Camp is 3 day training camp as we feel this is a minimum to see results.
Price: $ TBD depending on th
e site per team. Some of our sites include lodging and food so the fee would reflect this. Please access the Registration Page for fees and availability.
Limit: 8-9 Teams* per Camp
We keep the groups small so that we can concentrate on the one-on-one work that is crucial to problem solving. We recommend that you keep your 'team' small and include the dogs whose behavior you want to modify.

Team: A team is a group of dogs run by one person, a couple or a family. Please limit the family members to those working with the dogs. Due to time constraints, two family members is preferable for the individual work. The other family members are encouraged to work with a parent/spouse/significant other/friend after learning a skill. We recommend keeping the team small and working with your problem dogs. We recommend that you do not put several small groups of dogs together and make a team. Believe me, you will create more problems than you already have and overall you will be disappointed with the results. If you routinely combine your dogs with a friend to make a team, this situation will work at Camp.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED AT CAMP
- Training Collar (choke or prong) for each dog. We recommend the choke training collar and it should be very snug over each dog's head that you are planning to train. If you use a finer link collar, we can tie knots
in them for the smaller dogs on your team so that you don't have to buy a collar for each dog.
- Eight foot leash
wi
th snaps at both ends.
- Standard neck line for use as a belly band.
- Your normal training equipment that you would bring on any training run, i.e. harnesses, lines, water and pans, rig, etc.

WHAT CAMP WILL ENCOMPASS
You will need to arrive at Camp the evening before the scheduled 3 days of training. At that time we will do introductions, go over our schedule, go over the trails we will be using, answer questions, etc. We will run your dogs as a team to determine what your individual needs are. Over a 3 day Camp, your team will run as a group 5-6 times with one of us working with you. We will work with each of your dogs one-on-one working on their problems as well as confidence training and other basic obedience skills. You will also pick up ideas while watching us work with the other participants.
We can work in rather warm temps during the day for the one-on-one training as long as the early mor
ning and evening temps are cool enough for the team runs - mid 50's F or lower. Please no dogs under 8 months age. Make sure that all dogs are up-to-date on all vaccinations. We are both very excited about the prospect of helping sled dogs get back on their own teams and become happy, confident workers. And that makes the musher happy to!

| This is a schedule that is subject to change depending on weather and needs of our participants. Please use this
as a guide and be prepared to write down changes as we go along. |
| Feeding dogs: We recomm
end
that you split your feedings in half - am & pm - and feed after your dogs have cooled down after their run. If your dogs are overweight, you will have to cut your overall amounts. Please see one of us if you have questions or bring it up during the discussion the night before the first run. |
We will provide each team with a small notebook. Please keep notes and write down any questions that you can't get answered immediately. It will help you keep track of what you did at Boot Camp and be a future reference for you during your training.
